The 1st LACUIDEN Symposium - History of Care marks the beginning of a series of events promoted by the Laboratory of History of Nursing, Care and Image (LACUIDEN). The event aims to foster interdisciplinary debate on care practices throughout history, bringing together researchers, healthcare professionals, historians, teachers, and students interested in the interface between history, care, and the humanities.
The first edition proposes a reflection on the historical roots of care, its social transformations, and its relevance to contemporary practice. It will be a space for scientific dialogue, exchange of experiences, and strengthening of research networks.
Extended abstracts and full papers will be accepted for oral presentation. The rules for submitting extended abstracts and full papers are all contained in the event's Call for Papers, available below.
