The Brazilian Academy of Nursing History (ABRADHENF) carried out, on February 14th, a strategic visit to the Colégio Militar de Salvador, reinforcing its commitment to valuing the history and identity of Brazilian nursing.
During the visit, in the area of ??the Military College of Salvador and the School of Health and Complementary Training of the Army, located in Pituba, they were received by the Commander of the Military College of Salvador, Col. Marcos Aurélio de Lima Oliveira and by Col. Emanuel, representing the Academy was Prof. Dr Gilberto Tadeu Reis da Silva and Enfa. Ms. Monalisa Viana Sant'Anna. During the meeting, preparations for the VII ABRADHENF Colloquium and the 2nd International Seminar on the History of Nursing were discussed, events that will take place on April 14th and 15th, 2025. The program will feature round tables, presentations of scientific work, curated cultural exhibitions on the topic of Brazilian Nursing History.
The visit also indicated a milestone for strengthening institutional partnerships, expanding opportunities for collaboration between the entities involved.
During the meeting, a visit was made to the school's facilities, highlighting the importance of preserving and disseminating historical knowledge about nursing.
The April events will be held in celebration of ABRADHENF's 15th anniversary and will have the academic support of the Postgraduate Program in Nursing and Health at the Federal University of Bahia. The initiative reinforces the importance of promoting reflections on the trajectory of nursing and projecting new perspectives for the profession.
