Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Midwifery from the Alfredo Pinto School of Nursing / UNIRIO (1975), Master's degree in Nursing from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (1990) and Doctorate in Nursing from the University of São Paulo / USP (2003). Full Professor at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro - UNIRIO, held the position of Director of the Alfredo Pinto School of Nursing/UNIRIO from 2012 to 2016. Active member of the Brazilian Nursing Association - RJ and President of the Brazilian Academy of Nursing History (ABRADHENF 2016- 2018 and 2018 -2020). Academic at ABRADHDENF in 2019. Founding Member of the Nursing History Research Laboratory Laphe/EEAP-UNIRIO. Member of the Nursing History Studies Laboratory (LAESHE), at EERP-USP. Supervises master's dissertations, specialization monographs, scientific initiation work and undergraduate completion work. Organizer of eight editions of the event Meeting of Professors and Researchers of Nursing History and Exhibition of Scientific Production of Nursing History in Rio de Janeiro. Author of books on the History of Nursing. She has experience in the area of ??Nursing, with an emphasis on Medical-Surgical Nursing, working mainly on the following topics: history of nursing - school, history of the profession.
